About The Organisation:-

The NORTH EASTERN POLICE ACADEMY (erstwhile the Regional Police Training College) is an establishment of the Govt of India, under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is situated in Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya. The Academy started functioning from July,1978. It is engaged in shaping police officers for equitable, effective and sensitive policing. It is dedicated to teaching the police personnel of North Eastern States and from across the country to safeguard the value of freedom – freedom from disorder, criminal acts and criminals.

Advertisement for Direct Recruitment:-
Selection will be held to fill up the following 28 Nos. of posts temporarily in NEP A on Direct Recruitment basis. These posts are in the Pay Scale as per pay matrix of 7th CPC mentioned against each posts and allowances will be paid as per Central Govt. Rules.

NORTH EASTERN POLICE ACADEMY  Method of Selection: – 
The Selection method will be as under: –
(A) Physical Examination Test (PET): –
(i) Physical Efficiency Tests for Constable (General Duty) Male
(a) 1600 mtrs running (Maximum time 6 minutes)
(b) Long jump (Minimum 11 feet, three chances to be given)
(c) High jump (Minimum 3 Y2 feet, three chances to be given)
(ii) Physical Efficiency Tests for Constable (General Duty) Female
(a) 1000 mtrs running (Maximum time 6 minutes)
(b) Long jump (Minimum 09 feet, three chances to be given)
(c) High jump (Minimum 3 feet, three chances to be given)
(iii) Physical Efficiency Test for Constable (MT) Constable (MT Mechanic) and Constable (Band).
(a) 1600 mtrs running (Maximum time 6 minutes)
(b) Long jump (Minimum 11 feet, three chances to be given)
(c) High jump (Minimum 3 Y2 feet, three chances to be given)
(iv) Physical Efficiency Test for MTS
(a) 1000 mtrs running (Maximum time 6 minutes)
(b) Longjump (Minimum 09 feet, three chances to be given)
(c) High jump (Minimum 3 feet, three chances to be given)

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: –
(a) Application as per Annexure-l , to be filled up & duly signed by the candidates
should be brought during the recruitment rally as per the date (s) mentioned above
against each post. All relevant documents should be enclosed. They should carry the
photo copy of original certificates also.
(b) Persons serving in Govt.lSemi Govt. department should apply through proper
channel after obtaining NOC. No objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer
will be required with application form at the time of document verification.
(c) The Candidates must report before 1100 hrs on the day of the recruitment. No
advance application will be entertained.
(d) The recruitment process may be cancelled/postponed/suspendedlterminated
without any prior noticel reasons at any stage by the Competent Authority.
(e) In case of any dispute, the decision of the Director, NEP A will be final and
binding. Legal jurisdiction for any dispute shall be within the purview of the Shillong
High Court.
(f) No TAIDA is admissible. Recruitment process may be prolonged for more than
1 day depending on the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Candidate should make their
own arrangement.
(g) Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing identity proof such as Adhar
Card, Voter ID, Driving License, Identity card issued by University/College in original
for producing before the selection board to validate their identity
(h) All candidates should maintain the COVID-19 Protocol during the entire
process of Direct Recruitment i.e. wearing mask and maintain social distancing norms
etc.
