Transgenders/किन्नर will be directly appointed in Bihar Police

Latest update on 13/03/2022: The way has been cleared for direct appointment of Transgender in Bihar Police. The General Administration Department of Bihar  has issued a resolution to include transgenders (किन्नर)  in the Backward Classes Schedule (2). Under this, there will be a direct appointment of one transgender(किन्नर) for every 500 posts in the upcoming appointments of constable or inspector/Sub Inspector. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary. Officials of Home and GAD of Bihar were also present in the meeting.

सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग ने संकल्प जारी करते हुए बताया है कि किन्नरों, ट्रांसजेंडर को BIHAR POLICE में निकलने वाले सिपाही और दारोगा के भर्ती में हर 500 पदों पर एक ट्रांसजेंडर की सीधी भर्ती हो सकेगी. किन्नर, ट्रांसजेंडर को संकल्प के मुताबिक पिछड़ा वर्ग अनुसूची 2 के तहत शामिल किया गया है. नियुक्ति के समय अगर योग्य ट्रांसजेंडर नहीं मिल सके तो इस कोटा को पिछड़ा वर्ग के सामान्य उम्मीदवार से भरा जाएगा. BIHAR POLICE की आगामी होने वाले नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया में बिहार को 51 किन्नरों की सीधी भर्ती हो सकेगी जिसमें BIHAR POLICE में सिपाही के लिए 41 पद और दारोगा के 10 पद पर ट्रांसजेंडर की सीधी नियुक्ति होगी.

इस ऐतिहासिक कदम से ट्रांस्जेंडर कम्युनिटी को एक सामाजिक सुरक्षा के साथ साथ आर्थिक सुरक्षा भी मिलेगा.
